I promised Lex and Lou they could have rabbits, if they promised to look after them, feed them, make sure they’re ok AND clean up their residence. Of course I will keep a close eye on that and will make sure they do 😉 . First (and biggest) step was to convince DH 😉 . Second (and most expensive) step was to buy them a “home”. Third step (completed today): set up the bunny-palace in our garden. Check, check and doublecheck! I sent a “request for adoption” to a bunny-shelter nearby, so now we just have to wait for an appointment to go and get our little rabbits. The males at the shelter are all castrated, so we won’t have baby rabbits 😉 . What do you think of our Bunny-palace?
Ik beloofde Lex en Lou dat ze konijntjes mochten hebben, als zij beloofden van er goed voor te zorgen, ze eten en drinken te geven EN hun verblijf proper te houden. Natuurlijk zal ik er wel voor zorgen dat ze dat doen ook 😉 . De eerste (en grootste) stap was manlief te overtuigen 😉 . Tweede (en duurste) stap de aankoop van een “thuis” voor de konijntjes. Derde stap (vandaag voltooid): het knijntjes-paleis opzetten in onze tuin. Check, check en dubbelcheck! Ik heb een “aanvraag tot adoptie” ingediend bij een konijnenasiel, dus nu is het wachten op een afspraak om onze konijntjes te gaan halen. De mannetjes uit het asiel zijn allemaal gecastreerd, geen nestje baby-konijntjes voor ons 😉 . Wat vind je van ons konijnen-paleisje?
Schoon, schoon! Ze zullen hun werk hebben met schoonmaken want dat maakt serieus wat vuil zo’n knijnen. 🙂
wow, those should be some happy bunnies! I’d like to have rabbits too, but I’m concerned about the cats indoors, and we have hawks, coyotes, racoons, and lots of other threats to bunnies outdoors (although the bunny castle cuts down on some of that concern).
