Birthday swap

Our swapforum organized a birthday swap: this swap goes on for a year (September 2011 – August 2012).  Everybody that subscribes for this swap will receive a gift from all the other subscribers.  We are 10 people participating, so this means I have to make 9 birthday gifts and send them to the participant on her birthday.  And it also means I received 9 gifts on my birthday.  I was the first on the list too, so it was all a big surprise 😀 .  Everybody made a “wish list” (but we’re free to make something else too).  The danger in a wish list is that you might get things twice…or more 😉 but I don’t mind.  For example I got 3 Peekaboo bags, but all 3 different!  I now have one in my handbag (I’ll never have to ask for a plastic bag in any shop!), one contains my cardmaking material and one I gave to my mom.  I didn’t open any of the gifts on my birthday (as I was in Marseille), but had a real “b-day week”!  So here’s what I got:

• Tissue-holder, sunflower magnets, incense and embellishments from Irina
• Foaming bath scrub, facial cream (both homemade), little purse, “candle-in-a-teacup”, notebook with oilcloth cover from Cobi
• Blue Peekaboo bag from Marijke (my mom chose this one)
• Red wristwarmers and needle-purse from Catharina
• Another Peekaboo bag from Miriam (love the fabric with red birds and leaves)
• And yes, another Peekaboo bag, this time in cheerful yellow fabric, and another cute needle-purse (my mom chose this one) from Leentje
• key-ring, needle-purse and little purse from Pippelotje
• a beautifull necklace, rose brooch and scarf from Katie
• chocolates, cake, a beautiful card, black scarf and fingerless mittens from crealesley

Now I’m working on my present for Marijke, who is next on the list.  I’ll show you what I made when she received it 😉 .
